It’s that time of the month again folks: Philadelphia Homebrew Club’s 3rd Friday meeting. On the agenda this month is a presentation by Dock Street's Justin Low on rewing gadgets. We are serving up 40 lbs of Chicken Wings. The meeting starts at 7 & is located at Barry’s Homebrew Outlet.
This Friday Justin Low, Assistant Brewer at Dock Street Brewing, will be presenting on home brewing gadgets. He will be discussing some simple ways to make home brewing a little easier while keeping it on a budget. With a background in electrical engineering and a UC Davis grad, Justin has kept his home brewing ingenuity and taken it to Dock Street. He began with building his own home brew system to building a bottle washer and a 4-head bottle filler for Dock Street. Come enjoy
some Dock Street beer and feel free to come with other questions regarding school, brewing, and other such commonalities. https://docs.google.com/file/d/14O7LNYU ... F4nSG/edit
It's cold out so why not stand in front of a fryer, frying up 40 pounds of wings? Here's the menu: 40 lbs of Chicken Wings with Hot Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Teriyaki Sauce, & Sriracha Beer Sauce. Also on the menu is Pickled Veggies, Blue Cheese, Sliced Carrots & Celery, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, & possibly some yummy Mac & Cheese. We're asking for a $5 suggested donation for the food, but there's a twist. For that $5 you not only get the food, but also a raffle ticket. That raffle ticket can win you 50% of the collection that night. A good old 50-50 raffle.
If you do bring beers to the meeting, please bring either: four 12oz bottles, two 22oz bottles, or one growler. Also bring a write-up of your beer including the style & notes of your beer. We will have buckets on tables with ice to put your beer into when you arrive.
Lastly, we are going to talk about the past board meetings & some of the changes we have implemented. We are also trying to set up for our next big homebrew event. We are having a Chili Cook-off & Winter Ale Competition. If you are interested in helping out with the logistics, please let us know. The sooner we start to plan for this event, the better it will be for all of us!
And always remember:
